What would happen with the focal length of a converging lens if it is submurged in the water?

the refractive index of water is 1.5

whereas the refractive index of glass is 4/3=1.33 .....so refractive index of water greater than the refractive index of glass

hence, the ray coming for water to glass i.e from denser median to rarer medium will move away from the normal. So the lens will behave as diverging lens

hope it helps....!!!!
