Then crossing over or mixing up of genetic material can't take place. And

The organism formed will have no variation and will look same as his parent.There will be no requirement for two because in mitosis a single cell is responsible for reproduction.And this is practically not possible as the haploid no of chromosomes are passed from each parent and forms diploid no of chromosomes.
