Answer:

Keep upward. Fail never. If fear was not a factor, how can you ever fail yourself. If you know no fear, you were pushed to do your job wihtout failing.

Answer:

I absolutely *** LOVE *** this question.

Prior to 1954, and going back to the beginning of professional running, it was generally agreed that it was impossible for a man to run a mile if 4 minutes or less, until May 6, 1954, when Roger Bannister actually did it. However, since that event, the record has been met or broken 1,400 times. It’s the best example I know of that precisely proves that the limitations imposed on us are ‘assumptions’ we harbor in our own minds.

Most of us assume our abilities are limited to similar things we have accomplished in the past AND things we have been programmed to believe which is the same thing. Our normal tendency is to let inertia carry us through our lives. I would rephrase the question as, “What would you do if you knew you WOULD win.”

It doesn’t require a genius to program their mind. It is one exercise that even those with limited mental and all physical issues can conquer. In 1977 I thought I was hopelessly addicted to tranquilizers and alcohol. I had been drinking excessively for 12 years when I suffered a nervous breakdown and was subsequently prescribed Valium. For the seven years that followed, I took tranquilizers to get through the day and drank myself to sleep every night. On May 7, 1977, a friend convinced me to go to a clinic. After three days of classes, I walked out of that clinic, and with the help of a private physician, within 28 days I was clean.

I suppose some would call it a miracle. I was told by many people that simply programming my mind would result in failure, that someday I would encounter a mountain so high I would resort to falling back on alcohol and drugs. But I knew they were wrong, because, “I knew I WOULD win.” Consequently, I have been free from all mind-altering substances for 42 years.

But there is more. Having no knowledge of information technology, and no formal education I learned how to build and program computers, and for the past 40 years, I have built a fine company and make a comfortable living working for myself.

Knowing that you cannot fail, knowing that you WILL win is the secret to everything. There are many excellent books on the subject, and if you are suffering from any form of self-doubt, you can stop that cycle of failure today. You just have to start believing you can win and using the methods you will read about to accomplish the tasks.
