Hello!
Natural resources can be classified on the basis of continuity:
» Renewable Resources
» Nonrenewable Resources
Renewable Resources :
Resources which get regenerated or replenish themselves are called renewable resources.
Eg: soil, water
Nonrenewable Resources:
Resources which do not get regenerated or takes several years to replenish(which is much more than human life span) are called nonrenewable resources.
Eg: metallic minerals like coal and petroleum

The resources which can be renewed after using many times are known as renewable resources. For example- water, soil, etc.
Non - renewable resources are those resources which can be used only once and cannot be renewed easily. It takes longer time to be ready for using again. For example-coal,petrol,etc.
