As a person from the tropical region, I've seen snow only in movies / documentaries.
But when I was 20 yo I visited the Himalayas. We went to a place called Solang Valley in Manali, Himachal. The place was pretty much covered in snow, from the snowfall overnight. And it was not usual to have snowfalls during the day. All I wanted to do was touch the snow for the first time.
But while I was spending my time there, suddenly I heard a voice from the distance. It was like a low pitched roar. I looked up and saw very strong could above the mountain. After few moments I saw something was drifting in the wind. It was snow. Initially it wasn't coming from right above us. Wind was blowing it off the mountain top towards us. But then the clouds approached us and snow was falling directly on to us.
