Well the purpose of life is the goal you want to achieve. If you dont have a goal then you do not have a path and you will live an animal life.

Well, it's a Interesting Question,people might not aware about what's the purpose of life is ,Most people think purpose of life to gain education/knowledge ,earn money and make our parents proud by our deeds ,and make yourself to stand on your own bare foot.Well, if you think same, congratulations,you are wrong .We people are born individual ,so really thinking about yourself to work for someone's desire ?? Probably No,people are free to do deeds of your own desire,hence the main purpose of life is to made a path for yourself to get detached from this real,in lieu of your continuous born in this World!!!!.
