National integration refers to the unity and integrity of the nation. India is a country of splendid diversity yet representing unity. There is diversity in the culture, traditions, customs, and languages of the people. A nation’s growth and development depends on its unity and integrity. Without it, it lacks its power and strength to forge ahead and make sustainable progress. National integration also works as the basic foundation of a nation for its socio-economic well-being as well as peaceful coexistence.

Disunity, on the other hand, can cause serious repercussion wherein the outside forces take undue advantage of the disharmony, posing a serious threat to the national stability. National integration not only strengths the backbone of the nation but also makes it invincible. It empowers the people and promotes peace and harmony.
As responsible citizens of India we need to rise above divisive forces like regionalism, fanaticism communalism, and have a collective conscience to take the country forward

The age-old saying “We are only as strong as we are united, as weak as we are divided” still rings true in this context. On national integration, rests the nation’s glory.

Nations are built on the strength of integration. Without integration in each section of its population, the country cannot make any progress. There is great power in integration. Even a stronger enemy can be defeated on the strength of integration.
The divided people and fragmented society break apart. There is no advancement, but only decay and degeneration in disintegration. The society which is organized, tied in integration, can never be defeated because integration is the greatest strength but where there is break-up that society will be subject to destruction by anyone’s onslaught. A small organized society is better than a very large disintegrated society. If we want to create an ideal society, we need to march ahead on the path of integration
