Answer:

Two numbers are in the ratio 2:3

Let the rational between two number be x, thus the two numbers are 2x/3x.

If 12 is added to each number, they will be in the ratio 4:5 .on addition of 12 the number become 2x+12 and 3x+12 and their ratio 4:5.

2x+12/3x+12=4/5

cross multiplication

4(3x+13)=5(2x+12)

12x+48=10x+60

12x-10x =60-48

2x=12

x=12/2

x=6

The rational is 6,therefore the numbers

1st number 2x =2*6=12

2nd number 3x =3*6=18

Now the product of two numbers 12 *18 =216

The product of two numbers is 216

The two numbers are 12 and 18, while the product of two number is 216
