When 100 is to be successively divided by 6, 3, 4, first divide 100 by 6. then divide the quotient 16 by 3. then divide the quotient 5 by 4. a number when successively divided by 5, 3, 2 gives remainders of 0, 2 and 1 respectively in that order. what will be the remainders when the same number is divided successively by 2, 3 and 5 in that order?

Since when 100÷6, we get quotient as 16

Then when 16÷ 3, we get quotient as 5

So, when 5÷5,5÷3,5÷2 we get remainders as 0,2,1 respectively.

Similarly, when 5÷2,5÷3,5÷5, we get remainders as 3,2,1 respectively.

Therefore, we get remainders as 3,2,1 on dividing the same number by 2,3 and 5.

Thank you for asking this question.

Here is your answer:

100÷6 then quotient is 16

then 16÷ 3 quotient is 5

5÷5,5÷3,5÷2 then remainder is 0,2,1 respectively.

then 5÷2,5÷3,5÷5 remainder is 3,2,1 respectively

I hope this helps you understand the problem. If it doesn't help please leave the comment below.
