∴ Given Equation is (3y + 1)(2y - 3) = 6y^2 + ay - 3.

It can be written as,

⇒ 3y(2y - 3) + 1(2y - 3) = 6y^2 + ay - 3

⇒ 6y^2 - 9y + 2y - 3 = 6y^2 + ay - 3

⇒ 6y^2 - 9y + 2y - 3 - 6y^2 - ay + 3 = 0

⇒ -7y - ay = 0

⇒ -7y = ay

⇒ a = -7.

Therefore, the value of a = -7.

Hope it helps!
