4x^3+18^x+14x+k/2x+5

2x+5=0

2x=0-5

x=-5/2

now put the value

4x^3+18x^2+14x+k

4*(-5/2)^3+18*(-5/2)^2+14*(-5/2)+k=0

4*(-125/8)+18*(25/4)+(-70/2)+k=0

(-125/2)+(225/2)+(-35/1)+k=0

(-125+225-70)/2+k=0

(100-70)/2+k=0

(30/2)+k=0

15+k=0

k=0-15

k=-15
