”product” in mathematics means the answer when multiplying two numbers.

I would set it up like this:

4p-9=11

to solve: first take whatever is added or subtracted (in this case -9) and move it to the other side. When you move anything to the other side you need to do the opposite, in this case add 9 to both sides.

now you have 4p=11+9

you can solve that

then divide both sides by 4

your answer is now p=
