According to the given details, we can  take the potential difference as 12v.


Then the given value of current is 2.5 mA.


Everyone knows that 1 A=1000m, so the value of 2.5mA is 0.0025 A.


The value of R is V/I.


The calculator for the resistance is given below.


R =12/0.0025


Hence, the value of R =4800 ohm.
