when a barrel is 40% empty it contains 80 litres more than when it is 20% full find the capacity of barrel​

40/% empty equates to 60% full. By this assumption the difference between 60% full and 40% full equates to 20% which is the 40 litres space. Hence if 20% is one fifth of the barrel then 40 litres multiplied by 5 gives the answer as 200 litres. So if you multiply 40 liters by 5, as 20*5=100, you'll have 200 liters.
