Answer:

  • Initial Velocity (u) = 10 m/s

  • Final Velocity (v) = 0 m/s

  • Time taken (t) = 20 seconds

By Using 1st equation of motion :]

  • v = u + at

where, v = Final Velocity, u = Initial Velocity, t = Time taken and a = Acceleration ❵

  • Putting in the values :]

➥ v = u + at

➥ 0 = 10 + a(20)

➥ 0 = 10 + 20a

➥ 20a = 10

➥ a = 10/20

➥ a = -0.5 m/s²

⛬ Acceleration produced is -0.5 m/s² and as we know that, Retardation is nothing but negative Acceleration So, Retardation produced by the car is 0.5 m/.
