It depends upon the type of circular plane.

When the circular plane is at 0° rotation, from the front it will look like a line(or rectangular). But when it's rotated to 30°,it'll look like an ellipse in its front view.
If we consider the full 3D structure as a 2D model, the ellipse will have its semi-major axis(longer) horizontally placed and its semi-minor axis(shorter) vertically placed. The two vertex will be on the horizontal edges of the mirror while the co-vertex will be on the vertical edges of the mirror.
