When a contact force acts between two objects, both objects experience the same size force, but in opposite directions. This is Newton's Third Law of Motion.

Explain this sentence clearly and give real life example.

Not only contact forces but also non contact forces.When two bodies interact each other they exert foreces on each other these forces are called action-reaction foreces.In simple words force exerted by body A upon B is equal to force exerted on body B upon A.iIt doesn't mean that reaction force occurs after Action.They both occur at a time.suppose u exert some force on wall even wall exerts same force at the same time.But u will not feel it since there is no work done.

\large{\underline{\mathfrak{Newton's\:third\:law:-}}}

  • Every action has equal and opposite reaction.
  • If we apply a force on a body then in return the same body would apply an equal and opposite force.
  • The force applied is called action and the returning or restoring force is called reaction.
  • Both action and reaction occur at different body.

\large{\underline{\mathfrak{Example:-}}}

here is a familiar example of NeWton's third law.

  • Horse cart system moves because horse pushes the ground with his legs so, its reaction occurs. One component of reaction balances hirse weight and other component is responsible for movement of horse cart system.
