Given :

Resistance = 30Ω

Applied pd = 6V

To Find :

Current flow through resistance.

Solution :

❖ As per ohm's law, current flow through a conductor is directly proportional to the applied potential difference.

Mathematically, V ∝ I

Putting proportionality constant,

  • V = I × R

» V denotes applied pd

» I denotes current

» R denotes resistance

  • Resistance of a conductor depends on length, area of cross section and temperature only.

By substituting the given values;

➛ V = I × R

➛ 6 = I × 30

➛ I = 6/30

➛ I = 1/5

I = 0.2 A

Current flow through resistance.

\Large\bold\blue{Solution :}

According to ohm's law, V ∝ I which means current flow through a conductor is directly proportional to the applied potential difference.

V = I × R

V = applied pd

I = current

R = resistance

Substituting the given values;

V = I × R

6 = I × 30

I = 6/30

I = 1/5

I = 0.2 A
