When a force is applied through the free end of the spring balance A,

the reading on the spring balance 'A' is 15 g wt. What will be the

measure of the reading shown by the spring balance 'B'?

(ii) Write the reasons for your answer.

(iii) What are the names given here to the forces acted upon by the two

balances on each other?

Answer:

(i) 15g with respect to A

(ii) Whenever this happens it shows that the value for the spring balance is same when the spring balance attached to both free ends A and B therefore if we visualize carefully we get the moment in a specific plane the A gives 15g in a specific direction, the B will give value in the opp. direcrion i.e -15g which is not possible as it is a scalar quantity but the path as shown will be

A=15î and B=15(-î) in a vector form.

(iii) In these condition, this will called as balanced spring force...

Hope u get it...
