Answer:-

\purple{\bigstar} Time for which the force is applied on the body \large\leadsto\boxed{\tt\pink{2 \: seconds}}

Given:-

  • Force of 30N acts on a 5kg body initially at rest.

  • It acquires velocity of 12m/s.

To Find:-

  • Time for which the force is applied on the body.

Solution:-

We know,

\pink{\bigstar} \large\underline{\boxed{\bf\green{F = ma}}}

where,

  • F = Force applied on the body

  • m = mass of the body

  • a = acceleration of the body

Substituting in the values:-

\sf 30 = 5 \times a

\sf a = \dfrac{30}{5}

\bf\red{a = 6 \: m/s^2}

Applying First Equation of motion:-

\pink{\bigstar} \large\underline{\boxed{\bf\green{v = u + at}}}

where,

  • v = final velocity

  • u = initial velocity

  • a = acceleration

  • t = time period

Substituting in the values:-

\sf 12 = 0 + 6 \times t

\sf 12 = 6 \times t

\sf t = \dfrac{12}{6}

\large{\bf\red{t = 2 \: sec.}}

Therefore, the time for which the Force ia applied to the body is 2 seconds.
