when a light ray travels from from one optical medium to the another we know that refraction takes place, and so light after refracting either bend towards the normal or move away from the normal, this happens , because depending on the rarer or denser medium.....so we say that the speed has also changed .This is clear that the speed changes but why do we say that the wavelength has changed too????
How does wavelength changes !!!!!!!! okay this is clear but why does the frequency remains constant ?????

because frequency depends on source of light that remains same whereas if we talk about its wavelength which changes like taking the example of when light travels from rarer to denser its speed changes and hence wavelength changes

elepqua: that even if know, you tell me that why is the frequency constant there ?????

HEYA,,, IT IS SO BECAUSE FREQUENCY DEPENDS UPON THE SOURCE OF LIGHT AND SOURCE OF LIGHT IS CONSTANT WHETHER DENSER OR RARER MEDIUM...SO FREQUENCY IS CONSTANT

BUT WAVELENGTH CHANGES WITH CHANGE IN MEDIUM ..
THAT IS WHEN THE LIGHT RAYS PASS FRON DENSER TO RARER OR RARER TO DENSER MEDIUM..

HOPE HELPED..

anu522: plz mrk as brainliest if helped..
