When a small lamp is held 1.5 m above the surface of water in a tank, its image formed by reflection at the surface appears to coincide with the image of the bottom of the tank. (μ of water = 4/3) .​

now we can say that position of bottom of the tank will appear some height above it

1.5 = \frac{h_o}{4/3}

so we have

h_o = 2 m
