when a solid metal its temperature remain the same give reason​

we know that particles of solid are very tightly packed and it has a very strong intermolecular force so when a solid is heated its particles starts vibrating from its equibilirium position and its particles gain kinetic energy, this heat energy is used up in breaking the inetrparticle force and in changing of state thats why temperature doesnot changes
