when a water tank is placed on vry high altitude and then we place a pipe in it,water then comes out of it eaisly but on the other hand when an empty water tank and a pipe is placed in it and we open a water source it doest reaches the tank untill and unless a motor is used,why this so

Because of Gravity, If you need to raise a mass from against the gravithy you need to do work, here for working we are putting the water pump to do the work.

mjoseph7788: Actually, can you please elaborate this question, I am not fully aware of this questions conditions?

atifa96: height gets increased and pressure gets decreased thats the reason behind this phenomenon if i am not worng?
