When all your friends selected in drama except me write dairy entry

Today is the ABSOLUTE WORST. Our English teacher informed that the high schoolers were going to put up a play based on Shakespeare's famous 'Hamlet'. I was ecstatic at first, considering it as a honor. My friends tagged along with me to the audition.
I put on my best acting form and aced the audition. At least that's what I thought I did. I was certain about my part. The next thing happened made me CRY. Made my eyes swell with tears.
I didn't make the drama troop.
All my friends did. All my friends got themselves the part they desired. I didn't.
It was horrible. I couldn't digest it. I DID PERFECTLY WELL! I still didn't understand why they didn't select me. Today, I told Mum about this and she just told me to move on. But how can I? I've put my heart and soul into creating the perfect part and I'd just have to MOVE ON?
Then I gave it a thought. Sometimes failures are bound to strike you. But it's important that you use it as a fuel to add it to your fire.
