Here's the answer :
When an aeroplane is on airport or runway track we can see its shadow, but when it flies , we cannot see its shadow because aeroplane flying high in the sky will cast their shadows but because they are shading an area that is very tiny, the shadow is not visible. When the aeroplane is on the runway track or airport it is on the ground , that is , much closer to the ground , hence it casts its shadow.
Higher the distance from the ground, the smaller will be the shadow casted.
Closer the distance from the ground, the larger will be the shadow casted.
