If an object moves in circular path around something or by something then it's linear velocity component is tangential to orbit.
Hence angle between linear velocity component and movement by force is equal to 90°.
Since Work done = Force* Displacement* (cos theta)
=) W = F. S cos theta
=) W = F. S cos 90°
Since cos 90° = 0
=) W = F. S* 0
=) W = 0.
