when and who first drafted the indian constitution

The first draft of the Indian constitution was prepared by Dr. BR Ambedkar led drafting committee. The 1st meeting of the constituent assembly was held on 29th August, 1947. This meeting was chaired by Dr. BR Ambedkar and joined by several other highly qualified lawmakers. The constituent assembly approved the Indian constitution on November 26, 1949.
