When and why did US enter the Second World War

Japan was one of the members of the Axis powers. It attacked Pearl Harbour on 7th December 1941 which was the naval defence base for the USA. Thus, forcing America to enter World War Two. America drooped Little Boy and Fat Man on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, in that order, and thus ended the war.
