When two or more forces act on a body, and their net resultant force becomes zero along any direction, then they are said to be balanced forces. If there are two forces, then they are balanced if they are equal in magnitude and opposite in direction. They act along the same line If there are three forces balanced they act at the same point (concurrency). Balanced forces do not bring any change in the speed of the object . Either the object remains at rest or travels at uniform speed.
