When brakes are applied to a bus the retardation produced is 25cm/s ^2 and nus takes 20 s to stop ..calculate initial velocity of bus and distance travelled by bus during this time​

initial velocity u = to find

distance s = to find

final velocity v = 0 m/s

retardation a = 25 cm / s^2 = 0.25 m/s^2

time t = 20 s

Now,

v = u - at [ retardation ]

→ 0 = u - 0.25 x 20

→ u = 5 m/s ( answer )

And, s = ut - 1/2 x at^2

= 5 x 20 - 1/2 x 0.25 x 20 x20

=100 - 50

= 50 m (answer )
