s = u t  +  \frac{1}{2} a  {t}^{2}

shivamkr72: by using this formula you can find distance covered by that car.

a= -4m/s^2

t=3s

v=0m/s

according first equation of motion

v=u+at

0=u+(-4)×3

0=u-12

u=12m/s

according third equation of motion

v^2=u^2+2as

0^2=12^2+2×(-4)×s

0=144-8s

8s=144

s=144÷8

s=18m
