When calcium is added to water, the gas evolved does not catch fire but the same gas evolved on adding sodium metal to wire catches fire?

CALCIUM IS LESS REACTIVE THAN SODIUM AND SODIUM VIGOROUSLY REACTS WITH WATER AND ITS SALT MAY EMITS OUT OXYGEN WHICH IS REQUIRED FOR COMBUSTION AND EASILY COMBUSTIBLE
