when calcium metal is added to water, the gas evolved does not catch fire but the same get hold on adding sodium metal to water catches fire why is it so

The reason is Sodium is a highly reactive metal and catches fire when kept in water or in air, In case of calcium, it doesnot catches fire because it is moderately reactive and also when calcium is added to water, Hydrogen gas evolved get stick to to its surface
