When the sun appears low in the sky, your shadow can be huge. The length of shadow to your height is proportional to 1/Tangent (sun's altitude). If the sun is low in the sky (10 degrees), your shadow would be 5.67 times as long as your height

During the times of sunrise and sunset we can for the maximum height of our shadow.

Because-

• The height of the shadow is dependent on the position of the light source.

• When the light source is situated in comparatively lower position in terms of the object ,then the shadow will become huge in size than the normal object.

• Same thing happens during the sunset and sunrise.

That's why we get our largest shadow in the time of sunset and sunrise.
