When crystals of copper sulphate is strongly heated,
Water droplets appear on the cooler parts of the test tube.
Copper sulphate (anhydrous) is formed.
Reaction:
CuSO₄.5H₂O --------> CuSO₄ + 5H₂O
Note:
Original colour of copper sulphate crystals were blue.
Colour of anhydrous copper sulphate is white.
