The residue obtained will be white in colour . The crystals of copper sulphate which is blue in colour , when is strongly heated , the residue obtained will be white in colour.
This is because when the sulphate of copper sulphate are heated , the water of crystallization is lost hence it loses it water while heating also the colour.
This blue can be reobtained adding water to the residue.
