The French revolution began as a movement to reform the administration. On 5th may 1789, a meeting of Estates-General was called by King Louis XVI to devise a new tax plan which is being called the beginning of French Revolution.
The Revolution reached its logical end when Napoleon Bonaparte assumed the leadership of France On 9th November 1799.
So the time period of French Revolution is 5th may 1789 (Estates-general Meeting) to 9th November 1799 ( Napoleon as Emperor).
