On 6th September 1938, just three days before the schedule elections, the Nizams issued an order that the Hyderabad State Congress will be unlawful.
But the negotiations with the government of Nizam, to lift the ban was a failure.
Finally, the Nizam government lifted the ban on Hyderabad State Congress in April 1946, after the end of Quit India.
