In case of motion of a body in a straight line (inna particular one direction), distance covered by the body will be equal to the displacement covered by the body.

\bf\green{Answer}Hence, the distance and displacement will only be equal if an object travels in a straight line in positive direction. How can a car move a certain distance and yet have zero displacement? If the medium changes, does a displacement still occur when objects move?
