If the mode of reproduction is asexual then the offsprings will obtain characters like thier pparent .

It happens in bacteria.

Asexual is a mode of reproduction where an organism reproduce with out the help of partner. In other words they don't need partner.

This mode of reproduction not only happens in micro organisms but also in plant. In plant s it is known as vegitative propagation. For example eye of an potato will give rise to a new seedling .
