Explanation:

There are many possibilities when it comes to those who have trouble expressing their emotions. We grow up under our parent’s or guardian’s protection, and they are the ones that teach us how to express our emotions with words and sometimes how to cope with them. We may not express our emotions to others because we feel like we cannot trust them, whether or not they are truly trustworthy as a person without our personal bias. Sometimes it is possible to have trouble expressing our emotions altogether, because we grew up in a troubled household, or had negative experiences trusting many people with our secrets and inner thoughts in the past. This forms a habit in our brain to protect ourselves so we don’t get hurt. If you are currently having trouble expressing your emotions, one way to help with this is to expand your vocabulary on some adjectives to get your point across to your friend or family member on what you are feeling. Next, is letting them know what is going on. In the end, unless you are able to share your emotions with other people, you won’t feel better. Telling someone what is on your mind and what happened to make you feel that way will automatically deepen your connection with that person, and will also begin your path to being able to express your emotions verbally more easily. It is easier said than done, but going at your own pace and making sure that you let it all out will be very beneficial for you in the long run, and make you more in tune with your emotions and an emotionally intelligent person.
