Answer:
It is a part nature's water cycle. The Sunrays heat water bodies like lakes / rivers / oceans. The water evaporates. The water vapour rises up and reaches upper layers of atmosphere. Here the vapour gets converted to clouds. Clouds grow in volume over the period. Wind pushes / carries the clouds over long distance. They travel over vast tracts of land and sea. Atmospheric temperature varies across places. Somtimes wind are forced to pass over mountains. The winds scale great height and so do the clouds. When the clouds encounter lower temperature they condensate. Tiny drops develop. Like the water vapour the drops can't float in the air. They begin to drop to the ground. This is what we call rain.
