Subsequent encounter with same pathogen elicit anamnestic or secondary response when body have memory of first encounter.As the body already recognizes the pathogen, immune system starts releasing antibodies rapidly for encounter.

For the second time when our body is attacked by pathogens the memory cells which were formed during the first attack produces highly intensive response or an anamnestic response.
