When electricity is passed through an aqueous solution of sodium chloride, it decomposes to form Sodium Hydro oxide (1) Name the gas evolved at cathode. (2) State any two uses of hydrogen. (3) The above process is called Chlore-alkali process. Why?​

1) hydrogen gas is evolved

2) hydrogen is used to make ammonia and methanol .

3) The above process is called as chlore - alkali process because :- the products fromed in the reaction are Chlorine and Sodium hydroxide .
