when feather and stone are dropped from the same height, which one reaches the ground first? what is the effect of gravity on the mass of the object? How will you prove this?​

Acceleration due to gravity is independent of the mass of the object. The stone and feather dropped from the same height do not reach the ground at the same time because of air resistance.

When both feather and stone are released from the same height, then stone will reach the ground earlier than feather because of the air resistance that is high on feather and low on stone. There is no effect of gravity on mass and it remains constant in this condition only weight changes in this condition. Because:- weight of a body is given by-

                        w=mg

And as acceleration due to gravity doesn't effect mass of a body, mass of a body remains constant.

Explaination: Air resistance is high on the body which has less weight and low on the body which has more weight that's why feather reaches the ground late and stone reaches earlier.
