when ferrous sulphate crystals are heated one of the precaution is to keep the mouth of test tube slanting downward during initial heating.why?

Explanation:

When ferrous sulfate crystals are heated then the mouth of test tube should be put in slanting direction because there be some spurting of the chemical upon heating. So, when test tube is slanted then the chemical will not fall on our face or any other body part and we won't get hurt.

And if mouth of test tube is held in upward direction then chemical will spill on us upon heating.
