When green light is incident on a certain metal surface electrons are emited but no electrons are emitted by yellow light.If red light is incident on the same metal surface then?

Green light has higher frequency than yellow light and so the threshold frequency is achiever when green light falls.

Now when red light having frequency lesser than green will be incident then again the threshold frequency will not be achieved. So electrons will not be emitted.
