When H₂ is burned in air its combines with oxygen to form H₂O(water).
H₂+O₂------>2H₂O
the product is not combustible.Although hydrogen is a combustible substance and oxygen is a supporter of combustion ,water is neither combustible nor a supporter of combustion.It has a property to prohibit combustion or stop it.
hope i helped u:)
