An Act to consolidate the law relating to forests, the transit of forest-produce and the duty leviable on timber and other forest-produce. The Indian Forest Act, 1927 was largely based on previous Indian Forest Acts implemented under the British. The most famous one was the Indian Forest Act of 1878.
Effect of forest act are:
1)people not get product form forest.
2)people of other villagers were displaced without any notice or compensastion
3)ban on shifting cultivation.
4)prohibition on hunting.
5)ban on petrol list and Nomadic communities
